Our Focus

Risk Prevention

Any step taken to avoid existing and new risks is prevention. It implies the concept and intention to completely avoid potential adverse impacts of hazardous events. While certain risks cannot be eliminated, prevention aims at reducing vulnerability and exposure in such contexts where, as a result, the risk is removed. Prevention measures can also be taken during or after a hazardous event to prevent secondary hazards or their consequences, such as measures to prevent the contamination of water. It is systematically reducing the likelihood of risk occurrence. It is the process of avoiding risk or reducing the probability and impact of risk. Common elements of risk prevention process include risk identification, risk analysis, risk avoidance, risk reduction, risk contingency, risk minimization, secondary risk and residue risk. Risk prevention methods include all techniques and management practices that help to prevent unnecessary or foreseeable risks. Essentially, they generally include all of the methods that increase the quality, planning methods, forecasting, and the use of best practices. By using best practices and reference models, negative phenomena are prevented.
